Description

Pilgrim is a 2018 Lagoon 450 Flybridge in the highly desirable three cabin owners version, offered in true turnkey condition. Privately owned since new and never chartered, she has seen light, careful use with around 950 hours on her twin Yanmar 57 hp engines. Maintained to a high standard and upgraded for serious cruising, Pilgrim is ideally suited for owners who want to travel independently without relying on marinas or shore power.

What sets this yacht apart is her exceptional self sufficiency. A powerful 3 kW solar array feeds a large 1200 Ah Victron smart lithium battery bank, delivering the kind of energy capacity normally associated with generator equipped boats, but without the noise, weight, and maintenance. This system easily supports full air conditioning, refrigeration, watermaker, washer dryer, and all onboard systems while at anchor. Combined with the Victron Quattro 8000 watt inverter, Pilgrim operates as a true off grid cruising platform, perfect for remote work, extended stays in quiet anchorages, or long distance voyaging.

Starlink Maritime provides high speed internet offshore and underway, allowing owners to work or stay connected well beyond coastal waters. A full B&G navigation suite including twin Zeus 3 twelve inch touch screen displays, ForwardScan, radar, AIS, and upgraded V60 VHF ensures safe, modern navigation whether island hopping or crossing oceans.

The Lagoon 450 Flybridge layout offers one of the best helm positions in this size range, giving excellent visibility and easy access to sailing controls while remaining connected to the cockpit and social spaces below via twin stairways. The flybridge also creates a large additional living area, with generous seating and lounging space for family and guests.

Inside, the bright salon and panoramic windows create an open, comfortable environment. The owners version dedicates the entire starboard hull to a private suite with desk, large bathroom, and abundant storage, making life aboard practical for long term cruising. Two additional guest cabins in the port hull each have their own en suite heads, allowing friends or family to travel in comfort and privacy.

Pilgrim has benefited from continuous improvement and care. The saildrives were serviced in December 2024, escape hatches were replaced with upgraded Goiot units, Lagoon’s certified bulkhead reinforcement process was completed in August 2023, and new black trampolines were fitted in late 2024.

A new Doyle mainsail stack pack was installed in early 2024, and HydroAxe rope cutters were added to both propellers to improve safety and efficiency.

This Lagoon 450F is not a lightly equipped coastal cruiser. She is a purpose built, fully modernized blue water catamaran designed to operate independently of marinas, generators, and fuel docks for extended periods. For buyers seeking a comfortable, proven platform for Caribbean cruising, offshore passages, or remote working afloat, Pilgrim represents a rare opportunity to step aboard and go.

Owners Comments and Boat History

Pilgrim has been a great family boat for exploring the Caribbean, Central and South America and is fully kitted out for a comfortable liveaboard lifestyle. Pilgrim has relatively little usage for her age, been very well maintained and all systems on board are currently working well. We have recently updated the foresail and sail bag. All servicing of winches and engines is up to date.  Things that make the boat great for us aside from all the space are: the washing machine, the StarLink, comfy big beds, having two fridges and a freezer, so much storage, places for everyone to work/exercise, the stability on the water, and the early morning coffee/excellent 360 view from the fly bridge.

We have owned SV Pilgrim since January 2023 when we bought her from the original owners who had purchased her from Lagoon in 2018 and sailed her to the Caribbean in 2019. Once COVID19 started, the boat was stored on land so had very little usage/wear and tear and was in almost like new condition. The bulkheads were inspected (no damage) and reinforced with the Lagoon accredited procedure in Panama in August 2023.

We lived on the boat full time from July 2023 to August 2024 cruising between Panama, Colombia, The Bahamas and the Eastern Caribbean island chain. In 2025, we have cruised the boat in Christmas and Easter vacations with her being in dry, secure storage the rest of the time first in Grenada and then in Trinidad for the hurricane seasons. She has never been in a hurricane - for Hurricane Beryl in 2024 we sheltered in the islands near Trinidad which was a great adventure. The boat has never been chartered or raced.
